Description School Programs Manager Wage: $19.00 an hour Shift: Full-time, Mon-Friday with occasional Saturdays and holidays Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Accident Insurance available, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays As a member of the team, you will play an important role in bringing Thanksgiving Point's magic to students and teachers state-wide, through the Curiosity in the Classroom middle-school outreach program, Exploring Life Cycles elementary school outreach programs, venue Field Trips, Teacher Professional Development, Teacher Resources, Career Exploration Experiences, and Virtual Classroom experiences. Responsibilities for these programs include: * develop and update program content * deliver programs, including off-site outreach programs and facilitating and greeting of venue field trips * refine programs and pedagogy based on formal and informal evaluation, to meet the mandate of the Utah State Office of Education iSEE funding and the TPI mandate of inquiry-based programming and instruction * collaborate and coordinate with other iSEE organizations to serve Utah's school children as mandated by the Utah State Legislature * identify staffing needs for school programs * work with teachers and TPI Receptionists to coordinate School Programs, including outreach visits and follow up and venue Field Trips * manage educator resources * assist in the development and implementation of teacher professional development * track budget and participant numbers including districts, schools, students, and teachers reached, develop and communicate the three year plan for visitation to all Utah public elementary schools including scheduling procedures and protocols * develop and communicate evaluation and program refinement timelines and procedures * attend and implement TPI staff development, and providing training on pedagogy, program goals and objectives to ensure that staff are well prepared in all aspects of delivery * provide assistance, input, and tracking for fundraising efforts as appropriate * manage and support a team of program specialists * provide leadership to Education Department staff by modeling teamwork and understanding of inquiry-based learning * feedback and review from Director of Learning and Engagement.
