Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Data Analyst Intern position. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer in Lewiston, Idaho. As a Data Analyst Intern, a typical day might include the following: * Reviewing data and creating charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned. * Developing ways to avoid and deter data inconsistencies at the source in addition to review, validate, research, clean and transform those inconsistencies. * Supporting analysts to improve current reports and data sources. This job might be for you if you: * Are a current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a relative field of study. * Are proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. * Have strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills. * Have strong attention to detail. * Have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. * Are able to learn and communicate technical/scientific information. * Are able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment. * Are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. * Have background check results satisfactory to SEL and negative drug test result(s). Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with Python, SQL or other analytic languages. * Experience with reporting software, such as Power BI. Pay Range Data ($16.30 - $21.00 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate).
