Job Description: This assignment involves modeling, simulation, design and testing of embedded systems. Candidates will partake in small, focused development team in order to create real world solutions using scientific first principals into innovative designs for applied technologies. Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, and/or electrical, RF or optical design and simulation tools is helpful. Hands on lab experience is preferred. Candidates would work on one or more of the following topics: * Embedded processing and algorithms for military applications * Lab testing and integration of high performance ruggedized embedded systems * Support modeling and simulation efforts related to these systems * Support for electrical, optical, and design efforts Basic Qualifications: * Candidate should be currently pursuing a BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer science, physics (waves or electromagnetic), computer engineering, or mechanical engineering program Desired Skills: * Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, optical, and/or RF modeling/simulation/design tools; * Knowledge of MATLAB or Python * Previous internship(s) * experience with research at the university level Clearance Level: None Other Important Information You Should Know Expression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
