Job Posting Title Capital Planning Analyst Job Description Summary Join American Axle & Manufacturing as a Capital Planning Analyst and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to financial excellence and outstanding accounting processes. You will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's capital planning efforts, ensuring compliance with GAAP and our standards. This role involves creating informative financial reports for collaborators and successfully managing closing activities related to capital planning, fixed asset accounting, and rebillable tooling. You will actively contribute to AAM's budgeting and forecasting process, assisting in capital purchasing decisions. Job Description * Coordinate capital expenditure and rebillable tooling budgets and forecasts for the global business unit * Collaborate with manufacturing locations to gain insight into changes and actual variances to plans. * Prepare reports and projections based on this analysis * Close open review questions from budgets, forecasts, and actual performance meetings and reviews in a timely manner * Coordinate regional fixed assets related to in-service and end-of-life activity, including depreciation & amortization budgets and forecasts * Evaluate current capital expenditures and depreciation * Identify trends in financial performance and forecast accuracy while providing recommendations for improvement Required Skills and Education * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field * 1-3 years of professional experience * Proven knowledge of and experience with finance and accounting issues * Motivated, resourceful, and meticulous * Ability to work effectively with non-finance associates * Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, Oracle ERP, and HFM About AAM: As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
