Jeweler Job Description
Overview
A jeweler is a professional who designs and creates jewelry from precious metals, gemstones, and other materials. They work with clients to create custom pieces or repair existing jewelry. Additionally, they may appraise the value of gems and jewels, cut stones for settings, polish finished pieces and inspect merchandise for quality control. Jewelers must have knowledge of metalsmithing techniques as well as design skills in order to craft beautiful jewelry that meets customer expectations.
