Security Analyst Job Description
Overview
A Security Analyst is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats across an organization's network. They are also tasked with ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of IT security principles as well as knowledge of various technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption solutions, malware protection tools, etc. The analyst must be able to identify potential risks and develop comprehensive strategies to mitigate them in order to protect the company’s assets from malicious actors.
