Job Description 1. Lead development of process design and P&ID drawings for major and minor detailed engineering projects. 2. Ability to create mass and energy balances for projects and studies. 3. Lead or assist as requested in analyzing and defining project scope, estimated cost, and technical aspects of a project in accordance with client and their customers specifications. 4. Perform field surveys in preparation for design. 5. Travel to client facilities is required from time-to-time for project meetings and gathering of drawings and data. 6. Prepare drawings, purchase specifications, schedules, operation manuals, and related construction details for projects. 7. Provide technical input and development of the control system programming documentation (narrative descriptions for the process and control loops). 8. Lead the preparation of construction documents such as project scope of work documents and bidding documents. 9. Support field installation, checkout and start-up of mechanical equipment and piping systems. Displays ability to trouble shoot process related issues during startups or mill visits. 10. Participate and lead client and project team meetings as required. 11. Assist the Project Engineer in performing administrative tasks as required. 12. Shows leadership and quality judgment in job assignments. 13. Must understand the functionality of process control systems and the operation of process systems. 14. Must show understanding of the role of other engineering disciplines in regard to project development and design. Must understand the work processes required internally to accomplish the process engineering work as well as provide the information other disciplines to complete projects. 15. Completing major project work successfully as the lead process engineer or area design lead on at least two (2) projects is required to be considered at this level. In the process of completing 20-30 small to medium projects over the next 2-3 years at this site 15-25% travel to other sites and home offices MUST HAVE: * Chemical Expertise in Manufacturing * Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline * 10+ years of experience * Strong technical knowledge and communication skills * Leadership role within a Project (Project lead, Project manager, Team lead, Chemical Process lead, etc.) * Comfortable supporting multiple projects at once NICE TO HAVE: * Cross functional engineering knowledge Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72.12 - $96.16 * Medical, dental & vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Toledo,OH.
