Performs routine to complex technical or specialized tasks in support of research and ranch operations. May include field plotting, data collection, date entry, care and maintenance of animal facilities, cleaning pens, dispensing feed or fence maintenance/repair. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED OFF CAMPUS - 6 HOURS FROM CORVALLIS. REMOTE VERIFIER FOR I-9 REQUIRED. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years. Anticipated Hourly Rate: $14 Position Duties 100% May include ranch operations, field plotting, data collection, care and maintenance of animal facilities and other related tasks. A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Working Conditions / Work Schedule LOCATED SIX HOURS FROM CORVALLIS. * Work is performed in barns and outdoors in various locations, off main campus. * May have exposure to noxious odors, loud noises, and machinery. * May be exposed to extreme weather conditions. * May maneuver up to 50 lbs. and may be required to stoop, bend and kneel on hard floors as necessary. * Flexible hours as needed to complete experiments/projects.
