JOB SUMMARY The Glenview Community Ice Center is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic skater to referee and manage our broomball league. This role is responsible for refereeing in a safe and professional manner, and within all rules and regulations of the league and Glenview Park District. Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to: * Working with and communicating all aspects of the broomball with the Hockey Director * Preparing and maintaining game attendance records * Assisting with class rink setup and tear down (Broomball bets) * Keeping participants informed of activities and new seasons * Following all rink rules, policies, and procedures * Knowing emergency procedures for equipment and evacuation of building * Providing strong leadership and innovative ideas to enhance the program QUALIFICATIONS Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have six (6) years of skating experience. Know the basic rules of hockey/broomball. Must be team oriented and enjoy working with others. SCHEDULING & PAY This is a part-time position. Games are on Sunday nights. Able to attend training and staff meeting as required. The pay rate is $50/hour.
