The Regional Accountant will partner with the Southern Region Finance team, corporate financial reporting, project teams, and others throughout the organization. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, flexible, and a self-starter. This role will require the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet assigned deadlines. This position reports to the Regional Assistant Controller - Southern. Responsibilities: * Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes. * Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. (Ensure usages and journal entries are posted correctly.) * Perform account analysis and reconciliations for general ledger accounts within the region. * Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. * Assist in the preparation of monthly JV financial statements and related reports. * Assist project teams with various accounting and finance related inquiries and tasks. * Oversee all compliance with the regional purchasing card program. * Ensure proper invoice coding within our procurement system. * Assist the project teams with project setup in ERP system, closeout and any related inquiries. * Communicates with Project Accountants, Project Managers, Project Directors and office personnel. * Proactively monitor and report on accounts receivables to ensure timely collection. * Assist with annual year-end audit and sales tax audits, ensuring all information and documentation is reviewed and provided in a timely manner. * Ad-hoc analysis as required. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required (focus in Accounting or Finance a plus) * Minimum of three years of related experience.
