How will you make an impact in this role? * Partner with fellow colleagues in the Corporate Secretary's Office ("CSO") to oversee all administrative and logistical matters related to the functioning and management of the Board of Directors and Board Committees of American Express Company and American Express National Bank. * Serve as a primary point of contact for Board members during Board/Committee meetings. * Plan, organize, and support Board/Committee meetings, including managing and directing internal staff and third-party vendors supporting the meetings. * Upload and edit Board/Committee materials via Boardvantage and maintain those materials on our internal data base. * Create and maintain Board and Committee agendas, calendars, and schedules. * Manage the process for all payments to Board Members, including expense reimbursements, quarterly retainer fees, and deferred compensation. * Partner with fellow colleagues in the CSO and coordinate with internal and external presenters to ensure timely receipt of materials in advance of Board/Committee meetings. * Partner with fellow colleagues in the CSO to manage the process for the assembly, distribution, and retention of Board/Committee meeting materials. * Draft communications to be sent to Board/Committee members and senior management. * Maintain key corporate documents and records. * Manage the process for tracking Board/Committee meeting attendance. * Provide timely responses to internal & external audit, litigation, and regulatory requests regarding Board/Committee matters. * Provide additional support to the CSO as may be required from time to time. Are you ready for the challenge? Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent. * Experience working with boards of directors and senior management within a company. * Proficiency with Boardvantage or other board reporting portals. * Outstanding written and verbal communications skills and executive presence. * Demonstrated ability to act diplomatically and respectfully when communicating with key internal and external customers and individuals of varying levels. * Highly organized with an ability to demonstrate keen attention to details, adaptability, flexibility, resourcefulness, and efficiency. * Highest level of integrity required for handling sensitive and confidential information. * Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to spot problems before they arise, find solutions, and provide timely follow-through on projects. * Strong interpersonal relationship and networking skills to build and maintain effective professional relationships across all areas of the organization. * Strong proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Ability to create PowerPoint and other presentations as needed. Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
