Production Planner/Scheduler Job Purpose: In a team-based environment; the Production Planner will provide a critical link and work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing and Manufacturing to adequately support all planning activities in a timely manner. Nature of Duties: * Performs scheduling functions involved with Managing Work orders, coordinating products and materials movement through the manufacturing processes to completion and on time shipment * Reviews backlog to determine materials shortages and capacity requirements to provide commitments feedback to customer * Coordinates the efficient expediting of materials and work in process with purchasing, production and engineering * Proactively identify areas of potential supply concerns, keeping in mind capacity constraints, shortages and communicates analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted * Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions related to material planning and production scheduling * A working knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response Advance planning systems is a plus and highly desirable Education and Experience Requirements: * BS/AA degree with APICS training, Advance planning system knowledge is a plus * 2+ years' experience as a Production Planner or equivalent * Ideal candidate must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills * Excellent Oracle 11i, MS-Excel, MS-Office and MRP knowledge is a must Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity
