Post Doctoral Researcher Apply now Job no: 504268 Work type: Full-Time Location: University City - Philadelphia, PA Categories: College of Arts & Sciences Job Summary The Department of Physics at Drexel University invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position in theoretical condensed matter physics, with a projected start state in the fall of 2025. The successful candidate will work in the Quantum Condensed Matter Theory group of Prof. Jörn Venderbos, focused on research areas which include-but are not limited to-topological quantum materials, 2D materials and heterostructures, strongly correlated electron systems, complex electronic ordering phenomena, and unconventional superconductors. A close collaboration with experimental research groups both in the Physics Department and the Department of Materials Science & Engineering is anticipated. Essential Functions * Conduct independent research. * Write and publish manuscripts in top-tier pier-reviewed journals. * Present at conferences and workshops. * Interact with collaborating groups, in particular experimental groups * Other related duties as assigned Required Qualifications * Minimum of a PhD in Theoretical Physics or a related field Preferred Qualifications * PhD with primary focus on Quantum Condensed Matter Physics.
