The Payroll Specialist is responsible for facilitating payroll processing for a workforce exceeding 10,000 employees. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a variety of payroll functions under strict deadlines. The Payroll Specialist will also be able to advise employees and department managers on payroll policies and procedures. Responsibilities/Duties * Audit and approve incoming payroll data * Calculate time corrections * Troubleshoot errors preventing completed payroll results * Manage wage garnishments * Monitor and distribute Payroll emails and service tickets * Correspond with employees and managers on payroll questions and concerns * Train incoming Payroll employees * Transmit Payroll files * Manage stop payments and reversals and correct direct deposit errors * Processing off-cycle payments * Create and manage daily and weekly payroll reports * Other duties as required by the needs of the payroll staff Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent * 3- 5 years of previous payroll processing experience * Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal * Detail- oriented Level II * 5+ Years experience, Bachelor's preferred Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Workday and ADP * Experience with Microsoft Excel Target Hire Date 2025-02-03 Time Type Full time Location Hybrid The University is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
