Responsibilities
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025!
When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.
This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.
We are seeking a Director of Marketing
The Director will have 24-hour 7 day a week responsibility for the operational management and strategic planning of the Marketing and Communications of the Hospital.
Leadership and Managerial Responsibilities
* Establishes course of action for self and others to accomplish a specific goal in concert with organizational objectives; plans appropriate follow-up activities unless otherwise communicated to supervisor with only rare exceptions. Monitors results.
* Educates and monitors staff regarding their own and the organizations responsibilities for regulatory compliance. Proactively identifies deficiencies and takes appropriate corrective action with only rare exception.
* Provides employees with clarity about expectations and clear feedback about performance, deals with performance problems in an appropriate and timely way with only rare exception
* Responsible for implementation of, and employee compliance with, hospital policies and procedures and regulatory standards
* Responsible for employee matters, which include staff selection, management, and development
Marketing and Public Relations
* Develop marketing plans, budgets and campaigns for new and existing product lines. Coordinate with administrators, physicians and staff on business/marketing plans produce marketing materials and advertise and publicize services. Identify opportunities for development of new products and lines of business.
* Work daily with UHS marketing team to create marketing collateral, advertisements and quarterly hospital publications to drive volume and promote the hospital's overall image and reputation.
* Collaborate daily with CHRMC communications/marketing leaders on marketing and communications.
* Lead department in assisting hospital leaders and directors with marketing and communication needs and requests.
* Oversee CHRMC Physician Referral Services (telephone and online). Collect physician profiles, compile results, produce reports and answer public inquiries.
* Participate in community health programs through coordination of program promotion and production of hospital materials
* Lead coordination of all hospital sponsorships
* Integrate the hospital website and social media pages into all marketing and public relations activities. Oversee all content and graphic design for web. Post information about new services, add press releases, ensure that hospital information is accurate and current.
* Oversee relationship building and service recovery on social media pages.
* Ensure 24-hour on-call coverage for media relations.
* Oversee physician and patient media interviews, identify and pitch stories. Archive footage and escort all media when onsite.
* Provide media training to hospital spokespersons.
* Ther duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
* Master's Degree from an accredited institution preferred.
Experience:
* 8-10 years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications or related field. Five or more years of progressive leadership or management experience.
* Healthcare experience preferred
* Previous experience working with traditional and non-traditional media outlets
Skills:
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Demonstrated ability to define marketing strategy and develop comprehensive plans to strategically and financially position a hospital in the marketplace
* Knowledge of brand management
