We're seeking an Associate Interactive Web Designer. Candidates must reside in a commutable distance from Mars United Commerce's Detroit, Chicago, New York, Minneapolis or Cincinnati locations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Integration and implementation: * Deploy digital shelf designs and landing pages for online retailers through CMS platforms * Design digital media, digital shelf and landing pages based on retailer guidelines * Support user experience strategy and innovation * Integrate small- to mid-scale custom projects using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3 and other commonly used code * Provide technical recommendations on all projects * Consider and implement SEO best practices * Partner with Creative Directors, Project Managers, and Ad Ops to create high-performing concepts/solutions for consumer marketing efforts * Seek feedback on designs from team and clients, and iterate designs based on feedback * Offer recommendations on ways to improve concepts/solutions * Communicate often, openly, clearly and respectfully with peers SKILLSETS REQUIRED: * Bachelor's degree associated with Art/Web Design/Development * 1-2 years' experience with web design, development and deployment * Experience with Adobe Creative Suite * Experience in Figma and/or XD * Working knowledge of common CMS platforms * Some experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery * Interface & coordinate with Information Systems and adhere to company and client SDLC and change control processes for DevOps * Strong understanding of mobile technologies and responsive web design * Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite * Experience in designing digital shelf for online retailers * Familiarity with Google Web Designer, Adobe Animate, DoubleClick and Google Analytics is a plus COMPETENCIES: * Innovative * Ability to receive feedback and criticism * Marked ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change * Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize * Positive and professional attitude at all times * Strong team player with interpersonal skills * Strong client focus * Strong sense of initiative: self-motivated and eager to grow * Shows interest in personal and professional development to remain current of new web technologies and techniques * Excellent written and verbal communication skills Mars United Commerce is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will recruit, hire, train and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, ancestry, creed, color, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability or handicap, HIV, veteran, marital or family status, or any other status or condition protected by applicable state and/or federal laws, except where a bonafide occupational qualification applies.
