We are working with a growing precision metals manufacturing company here in Sarasota, FL! They are located in a 20,000+sq. ft. facility in the Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch area.

Schedule

Monday-Friday (no weekends)

7:00am - 3:30pm (with occasional overtime requested)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with Swiss CNC lathes.
  • Machine set up experience is a must.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, depth gages, height gages, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings, shop routing and blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret CNC programs is a plus.
  • 3D programing using SolidWorks, CamWorks, Fusion 360 is a plus but not necessary
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Certifications in machining obtained from a technical college seen as very favorable.
  • Solid working knowledge of basic math functions including working with fractions and decimals, converting metric to standard and vice versa, etc.
  • Comfort working with technology and desire to learn.
  • Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • A proactive attitude.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setup/teardown of machine tools
  • Load and unload parts into/out of machines
  • Utilize measuring equipment for frequent inspection of in-process and finished products to control quality through the machining process. This Includes the use of micrometers, calipers, Pi tapes, rail gages, etc.
  • Monitor cutting tools and make adjustments as needed; make machine offsets, and index or change inserts as needed
  • Initiate tooling changes as needed to improve processes
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
