Title: Senior Electrical Engineer, Engineering &Utilities
Location: Indianapolis, IN
The Senior Electrical Engineer is a key member of the XXX in the electrical engineering field for the Ingredion, Indianapolis site. This position will provide leadership across a broad range of electrical engineering expertise and technical support to Indianapolis facilities to meet manufacturing, quality, safety, and business goals. This includes power generation, power distribution systems, optimization of electrical equipment, troubleshooting, and maintenance & reliability. Review proposed projects and provide direct support during major project implementation and plant electrical maintenance outages.
Senior Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Drive electrical projects from ideation to development and execution to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electric power systems. This includes electrical power distribution systems, design, optimization, troubleshooting, specification and selection of equipment, due diligence studies, safety, risk assessment, maintenance, testing, and utilities.
* Deliver electrical engineering and project management expertise, ensuring the safety, quality, reliability, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to address electrical issues in the plant.
* Maintaining technical documentation for power distribution systems, including design data, process models, and historical performance data.
* Manage the Arc Flash Safety program and maintain ETAP power system modeling software.
* Driving continuous improvement in electrical system reliability through the Preventative Maintenance Optimization (PMO) cycle and root cause analysis (RCA).
* Providing electrical design development, evaluation, and implementation support for project engineers and unit maintenance teams.
* Support the Ingredion Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHSS) Department regarding electrical codes & standards, including electrical safety, hazardous area classification, and electrical installations.
* Maintain a high level of awareness of current and emerging technologies that will maintain or improve the company's competitiveness.
Senior Electrical Engineer, the position is well-suited for you if you:
* Are decisive, goal-oriented individuals capable of independent decision-making and can successfully meet targeted goals on time and within budgetary constraints.
* Strong interpersonal skills suited to the task force, executing assignments, directing, or influencing others (both inside and outside the direct chain of command), and the ability to interface effectively with team members, management, customers, and vendors.
* Effectively apply data-driven judgment, resourcefulness, initiative, and innovation in handling technical assignments and integrating those solutions with business needs into decision-making with minimal supervision.
Qualified candidates will have:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Electromechanics Engineering with 5 - 7 years of experience.
* Knowledge of electric power generation, distribution systems, and electrical reliability strategy.
* Experience working in manufacturing and/or utilities operating plants.
* Experience in Electrical Preventive Maintenance and outage work.
* Experienced in troubleshooting MV and LV motor starters, soft starters, and VFDs.
* Experienced in troubleshooting electrical system problems involving complicated protective relaying systems, as well as electrical equipment such as circuit breakers, variable frequency drives, and uninterruptible power supplies.
* Understanding HV & MV equipment and switchyard facilities.
* Experiences in ETAP power system modeling would be a plus.
* Knowledge of Electrical Power systems automation and communication protocols or standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5, ModBus, and DNP3 will be a plus.
* Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, and IEC.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present designs and study results and to prepare effective and concise written reports.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including working effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds and experienced and new engineers.

Pay Range:
$95,300.00-$127,100.00 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
