JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent, and in collaboration with senior leaders, the Director of Partnerships, Projects, and Engagement provides leadership and guidance for the strategic planning process. Working with senior school system leaders, establishes a comprehensive vision for employee engagement. Oversees the development, design, and implementation of short- and long-term employee engagement strategies that are aligned with the BCSD strategic plan and Board of Education policies. Plans and manages strategic partnerships between BCSD and businesses, government agencies, higher education institutions, and community organizations. Develops partnerships with the business community to increase alignment between the K-12 experience and careers. Designs and directs plans for expanding partnership programs to garner additional corporate input and resources and targets new partners based on district and school needs. Supports schools in their efforts to identify, develop, and maintain community and business partnerships. Develops and implements strategies for improving interagency collaboration among federal, state, county, public, private, and volunteer agencies.

This job has/has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
Provides leadership and guidance for the strategic planning process, working in conjunction with the leadership across the schools and District, as well as community stakeholders; communicating the strategic plan and progress internally and externally to garner support as well as monitoring the execution within the organization.
Serves as the champion for employee engagement experience, staff recognition and stakeholder engagement opportunities. Maintains and reports statistical employee engagement data for metrics and regulatory purposes.
Serves as the Executive Director of the Bibb county Education Foundation.
Collaborates with senior leaders and departments to build and facilitate long-lasting relationships with corporate, non-profit, educational, and local community partners.
Provides regular reports, presentations, and updates to senior cabinet, BOE and maximizes effective communication practices to provide status reports on implementation of district strategies and initiatives related to the strategic plan, employee engagement and partnerships.
Provides project management support which includes facilitation, technical advice, tracking, reporting, and status of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Plans, schedules, and tracks timelines, milestones, and deliverables for district initiatives using electronic project management tools (document templates, spreadsheets, reports, etc.) to be used by accessed by district leaders, including SharePoint.
Develops and delivers training to district stakeholders as required and requested.
Conducts project postmortems and creates recommendation reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Ensures program deliverables are completed, and program success is achieved by meeting specifications, cost and schedule considerations, and strategic targets for productivity and results.
Maintains and updates methodology, documentation, templates, standard operating procedures, and tools based on researched and proven best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Master's Degree Required
Experience in project development, management, and implementation; PMP certification preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory/administrative/leadership experience in education, business, or other relevant field
Experience in building business partnerships and securing resources
Successful experience in directing, supervising, and evaluating staff
Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Develops plans and strategies to build high levels of engagement over time by continually focusing on and anticipating employee and customer changing needs.
Thorough knowledge of best practices and current research regarding outreach programs, partnership development, and community advocacy and organizing.
Assesses program needs; conceptualizes new programs, particularly for diverse communities.
Develops short-and long-range plans and coordinates program implementation through various school system departments and with public and private agencies and community organizations.
Develops and maintains relationships with key community leaders and stakeholders.
Implements programs that foster and maintain teamwork among BCSD offices, schools, and community members.
Develops communication networks with school personnel, business, higher education, and community leaders, and acts as a liaison for community initiatives.
