What You Will Do The Senior Director of Marketing - Communications will lead the strategic development and execution of all top-of-funnel media plans (TV & streaming), TV advertising and digital creative, PR / Partnership strategies, and strategic consumer journey work to elevate brand visibility for Freshpet, and drive household growth and retention. This role requires a strong background in CPG marketing - inclusive of leading new creative directions, successful TV advertising and PR campaigns, coupled with a high bias for action. This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and involves managing a robust TV media plan with external agencies, in-house creative team, and working across the aisle with Digital and Brand. How You Will Make An Impact § Exceptional fundamental skills are imperative; leadership, teamwork, influencing, strategic thinking, strong creative judgement, business analysis and creative problem solving. § Lead strategic direction for the brand. Working closely with our strategic consultant and the Sr. Director of Insights to dig deep into our consumers' hearts and minds to develop best-in-class creative that will continue to fuel our 25%+ year-over-year growth. § Complete ownership of the TV / streaming media strategy, PR and Partnership strategy, and all creative needs for the business that will help us achieve our high-growth business goals. Accountable for setting media plans with our partner agencies, analyzing and optimizing as we go, and testing new channels. § Lead the inter-agency team of partners, in collaboration with our creative agency, to set the strategic vision for the broader team and create a consistency of messaging across touchpoints. § Lead our small but mighty internal creative team to develop paid social campaigns, site creative, eCommerce assets, in-house needs, and more. § Collaborate with team members internally from Digital, Brand Building, Consumer Insights, R&D and Consumer Care to work together to set and meet brand objectives and future growth goals. § Own the creative marketing, media and PR / Partnership budgets to maximize ROI and lower CAC and take smart risks. What You Will Bring § Bachelor's degree or master's degree in marketing or advertising. § 10-15+ years of experience in CPG marketing. Strategic brand communication / campaign experience, TV creative and PR experience required. § Demonstrates energetic leadership and effective decision making, using a 'can-do' attitude that positively influences and energizes our small and highly motivated team. § Proficiency in analyzing in-market data to inform marketing strategies. § Passion for pets and belief they deserve the best food on the planet. § Must be able to commute to Bedminster, NJ, with the ability to work in-office three days a week. Ability to travel 5-10%, if needed. § As of June 2025, our new headquarters in Bedminster will include a doggie daycare and grooming for all pups. Dogs welcome!
