Provides research services to Library members and the public as part of a team; instructs members in the use of traditional/electronic reference sources and online public access catalog. Participates in collection maintenance and development; maintains research and non-fiction collections. Plans and implements adult classes/activities; provides readers' advisory services; assists with conducting internet/other computer classes to the public. The PBC Library System seeks to recruit diverse staff to serve the needs of our diverse community and members. QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Working in a public/academic library research section; providing readers' advisory services; providing instructions on downloading media; presenting activities/classes/programs/instructions to groups; with collection maintenance/development; using computer/internet/database resources. Also desirable: Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole). Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
