Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for helping to maintain and keep the freezer clean; loading and unloading incoming and outbound loads. Track shipments via written and computerized documents. Also helps with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. Schedule is M-F 9am-6pm with roatating Saturday OT Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. * Load outbound customers * Unload inbound customers * Keep freezer clean and organized * Complete BOL's and movement forms via computerized documents * All other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent education required. * One year of forklift experience required. * Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Preferred Qualifications * Organizational and communication skills. * Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail * Must be able to perform tasks that include reading, writing and mathematical calculations. * Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Physical Demands * Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend and kneel. * Frequently must push, pull, move, carry or lift up to 50 lbs. * Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out in a rendering facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, moderate noise levels, exposure to protein by-products and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
