About the Team:
The additive technology team leads research and development of Relativity's Stargate 3D-printing platform and factory operating system to produce large-scale metal structures for the industrial base. The team works with robotics engineers, data scientists, systems engineers, and welders to advance Relativity's innovative tech stack, which leverages autonomy, advanced simulation, machine learning, and robotics. Working at the intersection of hardware and software, the team is creating a unified platform that can perform additive manufacturing, in-situ monitoring, NDE, and subtraction capabilities in a single print cell. Progressing in parallel to Terran R development, Relativity's breakthroughs in large-scale additive manufacturing have the potential to revolutionize the defense industrial base.
About the Role:
* Develop and manage manufacturing workflows (PRR), BOMs, work instructions and specifications to ensure smooth production processes
* Analyze and resolve manufacturing discrepancies, collaborating with the quality team on root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Own the full manufacturing lifecycle for assigned projects, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate delivery
* Provide engineering support for design and process improvements, enhancing efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness for both new and existing products
* Participate in design reviews to offer insights on manufacturability and ensure alignment with production capabilities
* Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, engineering and leadership teams to align manufacturing strategies with business objectives
About You:
* Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or related field
* Experience with GD&T, 3D & 2D design/drafting skills (NX Preferred)
* Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action
Nice to haves but not required:
* Experience with advanced manufacturing techniques such as additive manufacturing or automation
* Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles or certification in continuous improvement methodologies
* Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle for managing production workflows and inventory
* Knowledge of industry-specific standards or regulations, such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 (for aerospace or defense industries)
