Job Title: Electrical Manufacturing Engineer For immediate consideration, please apply directly to this job posting AND email biacosta@actalentservices.com with the following: 1) Word copy of resume 2) 2-3 professional references 3) 4-5 brief bullet points highlighting technical qualifications Job Description We are looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for learning and improving the current manufacturing processes of top-level and sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will use lean manufacturing methodologies to enhance assembly processes, reduce waste, and decrease assembly time. Additionally, they will write test instructions, update Bill of Materials (BOM), and work to reduce production costs. This role requires a deep understanding of component and system-level electrical testing requirements and the ability to incorporate new design requirements into the assembly process. Responsibilities * Learn the current manufacturing process of top-level and sub-assemblies. * Use lean manufacturing methodologies to improve assembly processes, reduce waste, and reduce assembly time. * Write test instructions and update BOM. * Reduce production cost. * Understand the operation and manufacturing process. * Understand component and system-level electrical testing requirements. * Incorporate new design requirements into the assembly process. * Support design changes for UL and other certifications. * Effectively work with electrical technicians on the shop floor. * Lead the resolution of quality-related issues at electrical suppliers. * Establish relationships with key electrical component suppliers to support design and process changes. * Provide electrical manufacturing support to engineering, purchasing, and customers. * Own the electrical manufacturing process instructions used by the technicians. Essential Skills * Experience in electrical manufacturing. * Proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Kanban. * Ability to read and create electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. * Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly. * SolidWorks or other CAD program experience working with electrical diagrams. * Understanding of UL and other electrical safety certifications and standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Manufacturing or Engineering Degree with at least 3 years of experience, Technical Certification with at least 5 years of experience, or at least 7 years of electrical manufacturing experience. * Experience in the manufacturing of electrical subassemblies and variable frequency drives is strongly preferred. * Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing experience. Work Environment This is a start-up company that has undergone a series of funding and is a spin-off from a larger corporation. The role is 100% onsite, with a team of 20 employees. The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Electrical Engineer and provide instructions to electronic technicians. The company operates in the clean technology industry, focusing on converting natural gas into clean energy.
