Position Title: Machine Operator
Location: Salt Lake City
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day/Evening/Night Shift Available
Compensation: $18/hr
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machines in a production or manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in ensuring that equipment runs efficiently and that products are produced according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate machines according to production requirements and specifications.
* Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as necessary to ensure product quality and efficiency.
* Conduct regular equipment checks and perform preventive maintenance to ensure machines are in good working condition.
* Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
* Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications by inspecting materials and finished products.
* Record and maintain accurate production logs, machine settings, and maintenance reports.
* Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
* Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
* Assist with the training of new operators and other team members as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and repairs.
* Basic math and computer skills.
* Good communication skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to lift up to [specific weight] pounds and perform physical tasks.
* Flexibility to work in various shifts and adapt to changing production needs.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
