Min Hourly Rate $14.70 (Standard); $13.70 (Non-Urban); $15.95 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $17.00 (Standard); $16.50 (Non-Urban); $18.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one (1) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Graduate Student Ambassador Program Coordinator position for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU). The Graduate Student Ambassador Program Coordinator will manage the Graduate Student Ambassador program. This will include recruiting new and returning MBA/MSB students in Corvallis to serve as Ambassadors; maintaining an accurate database of student ambassadors; training new ambassadors; communicating program changes/updates to ambassadors; managing social media content in conjunction with the COB Marketing Department; conducting outreach and communication to prospective students and applicants; coordinating and hosting events for prospective students virtually and for those visiting Corvallis campus; managing the document database for the ambassador program. Pay rate for this position is $15.70 per hour. Position Duties 40% management of Graduate Student Ambassadors 30% outreach and communication to Ambassadors and prospective students 20% event management 10% web content/social media management Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requirements * Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study * Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment * Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard * High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program * Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term * Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term* * Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term * Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term* * International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications * Must be a current, returning MBA or MSB student with at least one full academic year remaining in MBA or MSB program. * Strong written skills, mature interpersonal communication skills, highly organized, positive attitude, and willingness to learn. * Ability to give presentations virtually and in person to prospective MBA/MSB students. * Self-motivated, ability to work independently and in a team. * Dedicated commitment to diversity and inclusion. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Preferred (Special) Qualifications * Experience working with prospective students * Experience leading a student organization * Experience in compiling, synthesizing, and presenting information to diverse groups Working Conditions / Work Schedule * This position involves predominately office/desk work between the hours of 8am-5pm, but will also include support at events and may also include leading tours of Austin Hall. We will work around your class schedule, and some evening availability may be needed. * Seeking a student with availability to work up to 10 hours per week.
