Overview
Publicis Sapient is looking for a Junior Data Curator to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You will support a biomedical data standards project by performing a variety of data management and curation tasks helping to ensure the quality and integrity of a new shared data definitions for preclinical neurotrauma research. This position is ideal for someone passionate about improving research data quality and advancing scientific understanding through standardized data collection practices. You will team up with top-notch technologists and scientists to enable real business outcomes for our clients by translating their needs into transformative solutions that provide valuable insight. Working with the latest data technologies in the industry, you will be instrumental in helping clients evolve for a more digital future.
Your Impact:
* Support interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, data scientists, and clinical experts to identify and develop Common Data Elements (CDEs) tailored to specific research domains. Maintain data dictionary, metadata schemas, and controlled vocabularies to facilitate data discovery and interoperability.
* Identify, review, research and resolve quality control reports findings
* Create and Document new data formats in support of data harmonization
* Streamline and implement new/enhanced processes for data curation using scripting and statistical programming.
* Provide guidance and trainings on use of CDEs to promote adoption in research projects
Responsibilities
Your Skills & Experience:
* Must have experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data entry and analysis
* Experience with data curation, data management, or research methodologies.
* Familiarity with scripting tools like R/Python for data processing and transformation, as well as data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
* Knowledge of database systems
* Ability to work in a collaborative environment, engaging with experts across different
disciplines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Flexible, collaborative, and able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while working independently
Set Yourself Apart With:
* Demonstrated passion to learn the science and practice of data curation
* Familiarity with clinical trials, research protocols, or registry-based studies
* Familiarity with data collection systems and databases used in research or clinical
settings.
* Knowledge of standard classifications and vocabularies
* Experience with data mining, biomedical databases and data integration
* Demonstrated ability to query databases
* Customer service and/or stakeholder management experience
* Familiarity with AGILE methodology and principles
* Passionate about working in a dynamic fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
* Strong desire to support public scientific databases
* Passionate about open science and collaboration
