Position: Broadcasting and Media Relations Assistant
This position will report to the Director of Broadcasting Type: Seasonal Start Date: March 24, 2025End Date: Mid/Late September 2025 (Depending on playoffs)Pay: Stipend

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Previous media relations & broadcasting experience required
  • MUST be available for the full duration of the position
  • Computer literate (knowledge of Word and Excel are a must)
  • Knowledge of Photoshop & InDesign preferred
  • Experience with Social Media Marketing
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Team player and friendly personality
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task with little supervision
Duties:
  • Produce in-studio road broadcasts.
  • Opportunity for play-by-play and/or color on the Sea Dogs Radio Network during home games.
  • Interview players for feature stories and pre-game radio guests.
  • Opportunity to host pre and postgame show.
  • Write game recaps
  • Coordinate interview requests with the media and the players.
  • Assist in writing and distributing press releases
  • Assist in producing daily game notes
  • Distribute daily game notes, stats, rosters, and lineups to press box and clubhouses.
  • Gather lineups and distribute to clubhouses, press box, and staff.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the team website
  • Assist in maintaining social networking sites; Facebook, X, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
  • Upkeep on all statistical archives throughout the years (milestones, team records, etc.)
  • Assist in gathering player headshots.
  • Organize photo archives throughout the season
  • Set-up Press Box including cleaning, stats, and refill cooler.
  • Help oversee the press box
  • Occasionally assist with food delivery to press box
  • Maintain player information sheets with contact information throughout the season.
  • Assist in the production of team baseball card set.
  • Coordinate players for the Sea Dogs Autograph table
  • Gather autographed items throughout the season for charity events.
  • Continue to cultivate potential story ideas, upcoming promotions, player achievements, etc for the media.
  • Assist with in-game promotions
  • Assist lead broadcaster
  • Assist with tarp duties
  • Other duties as assigned.
