Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Student Intern.
In this role, the successful candidate The Section for Health Equity at NYU School of Medicine s Department of Population Health is looking for a Per Diem Student Intern The Per Diem Student Intern will work on an initiative focused on improving food access and nutrition in the New York City immigrant community specifically in East Flatbush This exciting new initiative involves integration within a multidisciplinary team of partners in community based research community service nutrition and public health across multiple partnering institutions
Job Responsibilities:
* Recruitment and outreach
* Work with community partners to outreach and recruit for a new research study
* Survey translation and administration
* Assist with survey translation outreach and conducting survey assessments in person in East Flatbush
* Qualitative research: Conduct key informant interviews assist with transcriptions/translations and participate in analysis
* Community engagement: Provide logistical information about program attend events in East Flatbush and obtain feedback from community members
* Research and evaluation: Support with data entry cleaning and analysis
* Attend regular project meetings
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a 1 Enrolled in a degree program 2 Fluency in Haitian Creole ability to read write and speak 3 Background and/or coursework in nutrition public health or related coursework/experiences 4 Effective oral written interpersonal and time management skills 5 Familiarity with REDCap or similar data management programs 6 Experience with qualitative research interviewing coding 7 Time commitment: 10 hours a week April December 2024; potential to extend

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $16.00 - $16.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
