Overview
The Enterprise Trainer and Content Developer is a key role in the Training, Development and Communications Team and is responsible for supporting and coordinating the development and delivery of effective leadership training programs for all employees. In addition, this role will assess organizational development needs, create content, develop curricula, and manage learning and development initiatives for the enterprise. Collaboration with various departments will be essential to determine developmental needs and execute training sessions enterprise-wide.
The ideal candidate has experience with various training methods, including classroom / virtual classroom training, on-the-job training, coaching, mentorship programs and e-learning. Experience with different learning programs such as management training and technical skills development is preferred.
Responsibilities:
* Assess leadership development training needs by partnering with department leadership and providing recommendations.
* Design, develop, and implement leadership development curricula and training materials using a variety of audio and video resources.
* Present and facilitate learning sessions and workshops on an ongoing basis to maximize leadership qualities and cultivate new strengths across the workforce.
* Own implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning and Development processes across the enterprise.
* Support continuous improvement of enterprise orientaiton andoOnboarding programs
* Consult with internal stakeholders on solutions to meet training needs.
* Create course assessments, training evaluations, quizzes, and meaningful, interactive activities that improve learning outcomes.
* Measure effectiveness of training programs by monitoring results in relation to corporate goals.
* Practice parameters of confidentiality and essential trust; hold private information in confidence.
* Assist with Human Resources and Communication processes when needed.
Qualifications:
* BS or BA in Organizational Development, Organizational Leadership, Human Resource Development, Education, Psychology, or related field.
* 3-5 years direct experience with Instructional Design or curriculum development and delivering content, preferably in a corporate learning and development environment.
* Knowledgeable of the manufacturing environment and the learning and development needs of front-line workers, supervisors, and managers.
* Understanding of manufacturing policies, practices, trends, and technology.
* A combination of experience and education may also be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* MS Office proficiency - Word Processing and Business Software - Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
* Content authoring tools - Knowledge of software applications used to create interactive multimedia content for use in the classroom or mobile device.
* Presentation Skills - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and clarifies; Responds productively to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings. Utilizes proper grammar and ensures non-verbal communication is professional.
* Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.
* Problem Solving - Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Able to identify gaps and trends; makes recommendations to improve processes.
* Adaptability - Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation. Able to transition applied training to a successful job skill transfer; uses various methods and applications of adult learning styles. Ability to manage multiple projects and time.
* Monitoring, Managing and Measuring Work - Monitors process, progress, performance, and results for yourself, other individuals, or teams/organizations to make improvements or take corrective action to ensure quality work. .
* Attention to detail - Ability to work accurately and to identify, analyze, prevent, and solve problems.
* Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
* Teamwork - Works with individuals or a group of people to achieve a shared goal or outcome in an effective way.
