BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): 1 Year of General experience- Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled. Spec Exp not needed or Education 2 years above High School. In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of general experience obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Scheduling and re-scheduling appointments, knowledge of medical terminology, recording information accurately, basic nursing skills, ability to interview patients. Candidate is highly recommended but not required to be able to translate and interpret into the Navajo Language for non-English speaking patients. OR 2 years education above high school. Education is defined as: One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. Combining Education and Experience: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements at grades GS-5. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
