Organizational Overview The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are the Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays and members of the historic Eastern League & Minor League Baseball. The Fisher Cats organization is proud to be New Hampshire’s only professional sports team, a community champion of the City of Manchester and State of New Hampshire, and producer of high-quality, family-friendly entertainment. The Fisher Cats are looking for a hardworking, dependable, and self-driven individual that is motivated to make Delta Dental Stadium the most entertaining broadcast in the Eastern League and uphold its reputation as “Best Ballpark” as voted on by fans. The Broadcasting and Media Relations Assistant is a seasonal position that will primarily focus on assisting the Manager in all tasks relating to the broadcast and media relations of the Fisher Cats, both on gamedays and while the team is on the road. Job Type Job Types: Part-time, Temporary. Season: Late March - Mid September Pay Rate: $15/hour Responsibilities Duties and responsibilities for the Broadcasting and Media Relations Assistant include but are not limited to:

• Media Relations
• · Assist in coordinating media interview requests for reporters/bloggers, players, coaches, and team staff.
• Help write and distribute daily media game notes.
• Assist in the scripting and production of radio advertisements to be sent out weekly/as needed.
• Distribute daily statistics, lineups, rosters to managers, coaches, and media on game days.
• Help write press releases, program stories, and social media posts.
• Work with team managers and coaches to handle special statistical or media requests.
• Address credential requests from media and facilitate their efforts at the game, as well as being responsible for a media credential list.
• Assist in overall cleanliness and upkeep of press box.

Broadcasting

• Serve as team’s pre/postgame show host for select games, as well as live, on-field postgame interviews.
• Play-by-play opportunities for three innings for select home and possible road games, analyst as needed during games.
• Overview and upkeep of broadcast library on streaming laptop.
• Cut rejoiners and other assets to be used during broadcast.
• Purge library of old or outdated ads
• Build broadcast rundown (iTunes playlists)
• Serve as team’s pre/postgame show host for select games, as well as live, on-field postgame interviews.

Press Box Roles

• Learn Game Day/Datacasting system to be able to operate efficiently.
• Work with Official Scorer to keep accurate pitch-by-pitch records, game tracks, and box scores.
• Learn how to operate pitch clock/scoreboard.

Marketing

• Work with the Manager, Broadcasting & Media Relations to manage outbound marketing. Duties include, but not limited to:
• Creating social media posts
• Assist in creation/distribution of graphics for social media, video board, etc.
• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• In addition to prior broadcast experience, the qualified candidate must display excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
• The desired candidate should also have a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
• Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Candidate is responsible for finding housing in or around Manchester, NH.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design and audio/video editing.
