SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst, FP&A - Supply Chain is responsible for analysis of inbound and outbound traffic in the supply chain, including the flow of merchandise to the warehouse. The Senior Analyst will take the lead to support logistics strategies, business plans and procedures to ensure expectations of internal and external stakeholders are met. Owns daily and monthly budgeting forecast support for Vice President of Logistics as well as operational support department related to logistics. Collaborate with business partners internally and externally to achieve logistic business goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Analysis
* Monitor inbound shipments, analyzing when expected merchandise will arrive at the warehouse.
* Communicate with Supply Chain team about inbound freights anomalies and efficiency opportunities.
* Monitor Hibbett City Gear Purchase Orders of any supply chain disruption and vendor transportation flow and notify Supply Chain team of issues or opportunities.
* Maintain reports on savings from truck loads, savings from backhauls, Various IB reports, shipment details report for routing, KPI inbound report, and lease equipment report.
* Meet with account representatives for carriers on a regular basis, maintaining a good relationship and building rapport. Negotiate pricing, discuss service issues, keep software updated with current rates.
* Maintain daily communication with local terminals regarding delivery and pickup of trailers.
* Provide analysis twice a year of routes for deliveries to all open stores. Plan equipment utilization for deliveries. Maintain a master list of stores and carriers to use in event of freighting deliveries issues and opportunities.
Budgeting support and analysis
* Own the daily and monthly budgeting for the VP, Supply Chain
* Analyze and review contract proposals for opportunities to improve efficiency in delivery as well as decreasing operating costs.
* Review daily all Operating Expenses (OpX) for cost savings as well as correct accounting coding.
* Review all Capital Expenses (CapX) for current Fiscal Year to ensure purchases are at or below planned expense.
* Start planning and forecasting at End of 2nd quarter the next Fiscal Year's OpX expenses by accounting codes.
* Work with Supply Chain Team at End of 2nd quarter for the next Fiscal Year's CapX expenses to present to VP, Supply Chain.
* Meet with Supply Chain management monthly on status of budget of both CapX and OpX. Also create a quarterly meeting on how the Quarter measured up to the forecasted amount.
* Analyze brokers and vendors on a yearly basis to identify opportunities.
* Protects the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related field or equivalent experience.
* 7 or more years of experience in logistics in a warehouse setting, with management experience.
* Retail industry preferred.
* Experience with developing distribution strategy and network.
* Experience managing merchandising flow throughout a warehouse setting, specifically dealing with shipments to and from the warehouse to stores.
* Ability to identify and execute process improvements designed to maximize efficiency and minimize cost.
* Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
