Architectural Designer | $35 - $43/hr | Hybrid in Reston, VA Job Description We are seeking an Architectural Designer to support design teams on base building architecture projects, focusing primarily on industrial and data center projects. This role involves drafting, taking redlines, running project timelines, managing clients and consultants, and potentially overseeing projects from start to finish. A passion for data centers and industrial work is crucial. Responsibilities * Survey and survey input * Space planning or space plan input * Pick up red lines on CD sets and help produce CD sets with team collaboration/input * Assist with measurements and understand USF, RSF, and core factors * Assist with the CA/submittal phase * Help assemble drawing sets and coordinate lightly with MEP consultants * Meet with architectural reps and assist in maintaining architectural resources, including CAD symbols, 3D libraries, and hard copy resources * Create renderings and help with presentations and colored elevations * Potentially attend some interviews if suitable Essential Skills * Proficiency in Revit * Experience in architectural design and construction documentation * Experience with base building and commercial architecture * Client interfacing skills * Basic understanding of codes and ADA compliance * 3-10 years of experience in the field Additional Skills & Qualifications * BS in architecture preferred * Experience with industrial architecture (data centers, storage facilities, warehouses) is a bonus * Experience with construction administration and project management * Knowledge of design development, schematic design, and construction documentation Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00 * Medical, dental & vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Reston,VA.
