Job Title: Systems Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering support in the execution of resilient space sensing architectures, acquisition documents, technology demonstrations, and product development to ensure compliance with technical requirements. The ideal candidate will offer technical acquisition and program planning expertise, evaluate space sensing program solicitation technical documentation, and ensure compliance with Department of Defense and Space Systems Command policies.
Responsibilities
* Provide systems engineering support for resilient space sensing architectures, acquisition documents, and product development.
* Offer technical acquisition and program planning expertise, evaluating space sensing program solicitation technical documentation.
* Ensure that acquisition plans, strategies, and documents are accurately reflected in technical programs and meet compliance standards.
* Analyze space and ground system program plans, including development, testing, evaluation, upgrades, operations, and sustainment.
* Ensure contract technical requirements are performed and compliant for space, payload, and ground hardware.
* Provide technical expertise in ground systems integration, networking, and software for space sensing programs.
* Participate in formal program reviews, providing findings and updates to Space Sensing leadership.
* Assist with briefings up the leadership chain.
* Document post-test analyses and lessons learned, applying that knowledge to future developmental test criteria and events.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (required). Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Ideally a Master's.
* Minimum of 10+ years of technical/engineering experience with Major Command level organizations and processes.
* Working-level knowledge of requirements generation, Planning Programming Budget and Execution, and concept development.
* Technical expertise in ground systems technical integration, networking, and/or software.
* Familiarity with Space Systems Command procedures.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Advanced-level competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Active and transferable DoD Top Secret security clearance with a current investigation at the required level.
Work Environment
This role involves working with advanced space sensing technologies and requires expertise in ground systems integration, networking, and software. The position includes participating in formal program reviews and providing updates to leadership. The work environment is dynamic and requires excellent organizational and communication skills. The role necessitates a DoD Top Secret security clearance and adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $100.00
