Job Description

SenTek Corporation is seeking an in-house, part-time to full-time, paid-internship OR regular employment, to learn and assist our manufacturing parts purchasing role.

The job is generally flexible as to time of day it starts/ends, but it is in-person only; if an internship, SenTek will work with your college to ensure the work experience is meeting the college's requirements for internships.

Job will be performed during Monday thru Friday only; no weekend work expected or required.

Seeking at least 20 hours/week. Pay per experience. Internships are *paid* also, never unpaid.

Key Responsibilities

Creating purchase orders

Setting up and updating any vendors

Checking in parts

Communicating with vendors and with co-workers

Keeping track of order dates and estimated delivery dates

Checking in parts in different databases when required, such as bill of materials for projects and warranty database for certain types of parts

Communicating delivery delays

Communicating changes in parts availability; updating accounting system with new parts numbers and/or new suppliers when needed

Take on new tasks and more responsibilities when able to do so in this role

Required Qualifications

Must be very careful with respect to accurate data entry and typing

Must be very careful with respect to any communications to any vendor or co-worker

Accurate numbersall the time

No grammar or spelling errors in business communications

Familiarity with purchasing processes in a manufacturing environment

Experience using any accounting software - we use QuickBooks Desktop at this time

Education Qualifications

High school diploma

At least 2 years of college in a business or accounting major

Other Qualifications

Experience doing any accounting role in a small business is positive

Experience performing a more-specific role in a larger business's accounting/purchasing department is positive

Experience working in a manufacturing environment due to the exposure to parts-ordering processes for the vital operation of the business is also positive
