The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit. Qualifications Job Requirements: * Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor's Degree preferred. * A minimum of five (5) years experience in nursing administration and/or dedicated Leadership experience in psychiatric nursing. * Thorough knowledge of TJC, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification upon hire, and successful completion of training in Handle with Care within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures * Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges. * Current CPR or BLS certification. * Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
