And that's where you come in. Description Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Intern - HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) for Summer, 2025. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA. Mission: * Maintain effective mechanisms to ensure that the activities undertaken by the company are compliant to Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental law. * Contribute to the HSE team to ensure continuous improvement and good corporate governance. * Accountabilities: * Implement procedures for the identification, verification, access and compliance to HSE legal and other requirements; * Maintain and update on regular base a register of applicable HSE Legal requirements and other HSE requirements; * Evaluate and implement, in collaboration with HSE Organization, the HSE requirements for working on site * Contribute to the proper documentation of HSE requirements * Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with corporate and legislative requirements, standards, and regulations. * Maintain and continually improve the HSE Management System and Local Procedures Required skills/experience: * Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to communicate complex technical information * Strong relevant technical skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. * Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. * Knowledge of OSHA Regulations Education: * Current student in Occupational Health and Safety or STEM related field at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December, 2025 and December, 2026 Languages: * English Proficiency Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)-Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities If you need a reasonable accommodation to apply for a job at Hitachi, please send the nature of request and contact information to hrunitedstates@hitachirail.com.
