The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list for the classification of Fire Inspector I in the Department of Building and Fire Safety/DSC. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to six (6) months or up to one (1) year, depending on employment status. Under general supervision, performs entry level fire inspection work including conducting general inspections, enforcing codes, and providing information to the public; and performs related duties as assigned. This classification is distinguished as being the first in the Fire Inspector series and the Fire Inspector II performs a variety of complex and specialized work that requires additional certifications and experience. Incumbents may be eligible to non-competitively advance to Fire Inspector II when they are certified as a Fire Inspector II and all requirements of the Fire Inspector II position have been met and verified.
