Job Summary This position is responsible for designing, teaching, and instructing fitness classes held at a Spectrum Health wellness center or other facility. Instructor certification required when applicable to specialty area. Essential Functions * Be prepared for each class. * Start and finish each class on time, allowing ample time to greet and follow up with participants. * Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with each participant. * Communicate with customers and coworkers in order to ensure the highest level of service and customer experience. * May teach individual one on one classes (or) offsite classes as appropriate and directed. * Greets customers internal and external with a smile, direct eye contact, and a pleasant professional voice; gives full attention until the transaction is completed; willing to change to meet your customer's needs; explains his/her role/expectations to his/her customers; connects customers properly to the resources they need. Tells customers what should happen next. Acknowledges service problems (No excuses or blames apologizes for their dissatisfaction; acknowledges customer's feelings). Learns about/from service problems (Listens; Talks; Learns). Acts on service problems (Addresses customer's concerns; designs better solutions; follows up, as needed). Qualifications * Required High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of relevant experience instruction of the specific designated class area.
