PROJECT ENGINEER/ PROJECT MANAGER
Peoria, IL
Crawford, Murphy & Tilly (CMT), named a "Zweig Group's "Best Firms to Work For." is a consulting firm with a team of engineers, planners and other related design professionals is actively seeking to add a talented Project Engineer/ Project Manager to our Surface Transportation Team. This role will support all levels of staff within the team while providing service our municipal clients and the opportunity to experience new challenges in a dynamic environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage capital improvement and asset management programs
* Manage CMTs multi-year stormwater program
* Program management and village engineer responsibilities
* Create unique engineering and management opportunities
* Develop client relationships and capital improvement plans
* Works with county highway departments, municipalities, and IDOT
* Deliver multimillion-dollar transportation projects every year
Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
* Professional Engineer license
* Project experience with streets, drainage systems, open channel flow, and municipal utility systems
* Knowledge of principles and practices applied to the hydrology and hydraulics, transportation infrastructure, and municipal utility systems
* Previous project leadership experience desired
* Strong knowledge of and experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work and lead in a team environment
* Ability to manage multiple assignments on a variety of projects, work in an environment to learn quickly, take initiative, and interact with a variety of people
* Ability to mentor staff
