As part of a robust network, CoxHealth serves over 1 million patients annually through six hospitals, 80+ physician clinics, and more than 1,000 inpatient beds, employing over 13,000 dedicated professionals. The largest hospital in the CoxHealth network is located near Branson in Springfield, MO, and is a Level I Trauma Center and Level I Stroke Center. Cox Medical Center Branson ) is a full-service hospital caring for residents of and visitors to Stone and Taney counties. Cox Medical Center Branson offers newly expanded and renovated emergency department, critical care areas, and new Women's Center. A Prosthetist/Orthotist works with patients to regain their mobility by fitting them with all forms of prosthetics and orthotics. The incumbent is involved in designing, making, fitting, modifying, repairing, and maintaining these devices, which make an immeasurable impact on an individual's quality of life. This role provides a unique opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary healthcare team, spanning the continuum of care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This position is open to a Prosthetist/Orthotist I, II, or III (see job requirements). Job Requirements * Education * Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited School OR 3-5 years working in the Prosthetic and Orthotic field * Experience * Preferred: At least 5 years working in the Prosthetic and Orthotic field * Skills * Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools and machines effectively and safely. * Effective organizational, time management and planning skills. * Strong interpersonal and verbal skills for communication with others. * Ability to work effectively as a team member. * Ability to multitask and work in high stress situations. * Licensure/Certification/Registration Prosthetist/Orthotist I *
