This is a labor pool from which the College of Arts and Sciences will draw when graduate research assistants are needed to work on sponsored projects. Incumbents will join faculty and researchers who are active in conducting research in various disciplines. This will include working on one or more funded projects in these research areas under the guidance of Principal Investigators. The successful candidate will have knowledge of data collection procedures, data entry procedures, and computerized spreadsheets and databases. They will have the ability to manipulate data to produce charts and graphs to display trends in data, the ability to interpret data results for reporting and ability to work in remote locations, sometimes in extreme conditions. To thrive in this role graduate students must have a desire to continue to learn by collecting data samples, reporting their findings, and working well with others. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and enrollment in a graduate program at the University of Alaska. Salary Information: Master's Student: $21.00/hourly equivalent Doctoral Student $25.00/hourly equivalent This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
