Position Overview The Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of the County's HR operations, including recruitment, personnel management, labor relations, and employee development. Key Responsibilities: * Direct County-wide personnel programs in compliance with established rules, policies, and relevant laws * Serve as chief labor relations negotiator and administrator of classification and compensation plans * Oversee employee assistance programs and special projects * Manage the County's recruitment, selection, and performance appraisal processes * Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures * Administer employee benefit and insurance programs * Act as Plan Administrator and fiduciary for the Klamath County Employee Pension Plan Qualifications: Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field * 4 years of related HR experience with increasing responsibility * Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience Required Skills: * Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) * Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Certifications: * Valid Oregon Driver's License Physical Requirements The position involves primarily office-based work with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
