Position Overview:
Mohawk Global is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Duty Drawback Advisor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing duty drawback claims, ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Receive paperwork from the duty drawback client
* Verify all documents for duty drawback claim submission are received
* Review all documentation from duty drawback client to ensure accuracy
* Problem solve, ask questions of clients and U.S. Customs & Border Protection
* Data entry into system
* Assist in preparing duty drawback privilege applications on behalf of new duty drawback clients
* Respond to US Customs duty drawback audits and request for information
* Finalize files with billing charges, complete billing invoice and file completed folder away
* Assist in mentoring new duty drawback employees
* Support and contribute to sales efforts and business development activities.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
* Advanced knowledge of U.S. Customs & Border Protection and other Government agency regulations
* Advanced knowledge of duty drawback
* Excellent communication skills required
* Senior-level knowledge of the CBP Duty Drawback regulations
* Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize
* Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and must be very detail oriented
* Must be able to resolve problems in all aspects of job
* Open mind to accept changing work environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
* High level of attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
* Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to client issues
Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in duty drawback
* 7 years of experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field preferred, but not required
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with relevant customs software and systems
