The Employee Assistance Program Representative will provide counseling services to MBTA and MassDOT employees, retirees, and their family members, as it relates to issues that will affect the employee's ability to perform their job duties, work life balance and quality of life. Services include brief, solution focused counseling, Services to the Agency regarding policy adherence and supervisory support. The selected candidate will also participate in the development and implementation of programming to assist the MBTA and MassDOT in maintaining a drug-free workplace for all employees.  * Conduct Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluations as per CFR 49 Part 40 Subpart O * Assist in the promotion and programming to maintain a healthy and productive workforce. * Provide comprehensive assessment and clinical evaluation to determine if employee needs assistance in resolving substance abuse and/or mental health issues. Make recommendations and referrals. * Provide short-term solution focused counseling to MBTA and MassDOT employees and their family members for a variety of mental health and substance abuse related issues. Develop treatment plans and provide case management services. * Develop and facilitate educational workshops for MBTA and MassDOT employees and their families. * Maintain documentation and records as required by the MBTA and MassDOT as well as state and federal regulations. * Actively participate in clinical group and individual supervision * Participate in on call rotation. * Respond to critical incidents or requests for EAP as needed. * Respond to each inquiry, whether from a customer, vendor, or co-worker in a professional and courteous manner * Perform all other duties and projects that may be assigned. * Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) as defines in CFR 49 Part 40 Subpart O. Within 60 days of Hire. * Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Worker (LMHC) or Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) or Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) or Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW). * Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following: psychiatric, alcohol and drug assessment/treatment, family services or related mental health human services or counseling services including providing education/treatment in a group setting with non-voluntary clients. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrate clinical documentation skills. * Experience planning, developing, and implementing substance Abuse and/or Mental Health programs. * Ability to maintain confidentiality, multitask, effectively manage time, and superior interpersonal skills. * Professional experience using Microsoft Word and Excel applications. * Have excellent customer service skills. * The ability to provide internal and external customers with a courteous and professional experience. * None Preferred Experience and Skills * Master's Level Clinicians with Substance Abuse Treatment experience
