MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Varsity Head coaches need three (3) years of head coaching in Football at the high school, college or club level.• A verifiable record of having been part of a winning tradition, including post-season C.I.F. playoff competition as a coach is desirable.• A proven verifiable record of positive staff, student and administrative support and relationships.• A proven verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on good sportsmanship, academic excellence, positive attitudes and character.• A demonstrated ability to work with parents and athletic booster clubs.• A demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for student athletes and a commitment to holding all students and adults associated with the program to the same standards.• A long-term commitment to develop and sustain a positive, winning tradition.* * * * * * * * *
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be certified under Title V, C.C.R. Section 5593 and 5594, prior to the beginning of the CIF season of sport. The training and certification is available to all coaches on-line at www.nfhslearn.com . The following certifications must be completed before assuming individual coaching duties: • Fingerprints (Will be done upon selection of candidate) • First Aid and CPR (CPR must be an in-person course AND Both First Aid and CPR must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross) • CIF Fundamentals of Coaching Certification • CIF Concussion in Sports Certification • CIF Heat Illness Prevention Certification • CIF Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certification • Current T.B. examination • Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Certification (Will be done upon selection of candidate) APPLICATION PROCESS: Applications from qualified candidates are invited. A complete application file is required and consists of: • A completed EDJOIN application • An up-to-date resume • Two (2) recent letters of recommendation are REQUIRED. The letters must be signed and dated within the last 2 years. Acceptable Signatures are: electronic document (Docusign or similar platform) or handwritten scanned signatures. Typed signatures will not be accepted To submit an application you must log onto www.edjoin.org. Applicants are responsible for assuring that Personnel receive the online application submission of their application before the deadline. Applicants must be sure they are submitting a complete application packet with all required documents. For questions, you may contact Personnel Services at (909) 820-7700 ext. 2400. STIPEND: Based on the current salary schedule, the stipends if you are selected are as follows for the full season: Varsity $7,112 As of January 1, 2025: In accordance with Education Code section 44939.5, you are required by law to provide a complete list of every school district, county office of education, charter school and/or state special school that you have previously been employed no matter the length of service. Please include any part-time and/or substitution work in addition to any full-time employment positions. Failure to disclose any school district, county office of education, charter school and/or state special school that you have previously been employed may be deemed dishonestly in the hiring process and/or dishonesty following termination.
