Are you a Proofreader with an eagle eye for errors? Do you hate seeing typos and misspellings in print and online? If so, we have the perfect job for you! AuPair Care is seeking a Copy Editor/Proofreader to join our team and ensure that our written content is polished, professional, and error-free.
Role Overview:
As the Copy Editor/Proofreader, you will be responsible for reviewing and editing all written content for our company, including but not limited to website copy, marketing materials, blog posts, and social media content. You will work closely with the content team and other departments to ensure that our message is clear, consistent, and of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and edit written material for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style
- Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility
- Collaborate with writers and other team members to improve overall quality of content
- Utilize style guides and brand guidelines to maintain consistency in writing
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Suggest and implement improvements to our writing processes
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in language usage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in copy editing and proofreading
- Strong knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and AP Style
- Attention to detail and ability to catch even the smallest of errors
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with content management systems and Google Suite is a plus
