Our client, in Aerospace is seeking Solderers?to join their team. As a solderer, you will be supporting the assembly teams. The ideal candidate will have good verbal communication, team player?and reliable and responsible?which will align successfully in the organization.
Must have at least 2 years of experience with soldering or precision assembly
Preferably a J-Standard soldering certification
Job Title: Electronic Solderer/Assembler (2nd shift)
Location: Newbury Park, CA
Pay Range: $20 - $22/hr
Shift Hours: Monday - Friday 2pm - 10:30pm
What's the Job?
Performs a variety of component installations and inspections on electronic assemblies/subassemblies of Printed Circuit Boards or unit/systems level assembly.
- Work under general supervision
- Update manual and computerized status reports and logs per department requirements
- Perform moderately complex assembly and/or soldering tasks using tools such as hot tweezers, cutters, soldering iron, solder pot, stereo microscope
- Perform production assembly from formal work instructions and drawings.
- Understand and do complex inspection (solder joints)
- Understand Kan Ban and small-batch size requirements. Able to help others with keeping Lean changes on track
- Provide training to lower-level employees with support from lead
- Understand production requirements with a moderately broad scope
- Assist with inventory and department status activities to a moderate level, under guidance from lead
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Able to work occasional overtime (Saturdays included)
What's Needed?
- Able to read, speak and understand the English language
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Able to pass visual acuity exam
- Able to read and understand technical work instructions
- Able to work from schematics and blueprints
- Good verbal communications and reading skills
- Education: high school diploma or equivalent
