Location Mercury Financial's Wilmington, Delaware office is located near the Riverfront. Wilmington is Delaware's largest city and is the economic engine of the state. The Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to join our team in the near-prime credit card space. The ideal candidate will bring 5 years of relevant experience in large-scale data analytics across the customer lifecycle, along with expertise in SAS and Tableau. This role focuses on leveraging data to drive strategic decisions, enhance customer experience, and support business growth in the near-prime credit market. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Risk, and Operations to identify and solve business challenges through data analysis. * Analyze business information to identify process improvements for increasing business efficiency and effectiveness. * Develop and execute data tests with third-party vendors. Includes test design, infile creation, and outfile analysis. * Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive revenue growth, manage risk, and improve customer experience. * Develop and maintain analytical models and dashboards in SAS and Tableau to support business insights and reporting needs. Generate and distribute management reports in accurate and timely manner. * Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in all analyses and reports. * Analyzing business processes and implementing ad hoc and "dashboard" performance reporting. Analysis, development, implementation, and validation of data and reporting. * Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analytics and the near-prime credit card industry. * Perform adhoc analysis as required. You're perfect for this role if you have: * Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. * 5 years' experience working in a bank, credit card issuer, lender, or other financial services institution. Near Prime lending is a plus. * Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform advanced analytics. * Solid understanding of the customer lifecycle in the near-prime credit card space. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication skills to convey insights to technical and non-technical audiences. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: * 3-5 years' experience with SQL or Python for data analysis. * 3-5 years' experience in Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development. * Familiarity with basic credit risk modeling and analytics.
